Psychology Board proposed Rule Letter from US Senators requesting DHHS-OIG to undertake an evaluation of state medical boards. The Board accepted the following as information: 13. The Board is opposed to Senate Bill 386, which would give APRN s the ability to order radiographic imaging tests. Rita Udom, MD asked for the Board s assistance to defray the cost of clinical skills assessment, in which the Board declined. A physician licensed in another state must have a Georgia license to render a diagnosis on a patient in Georgia even though the analysis is performed in another state. These requests must be submitted in writing and be approved by the Board. A policy was presented by Jeff Lane regarding the requests made by other agencies to postpone or table investigations. Prisoners must complete the grievance process, which is already in place within the prison system, before filing a complaint with the Medical Board.
